Brownfield Regeneration
Brownfield Regeneration
CABERNET defines brownfields as sites which have been affected by former uses of the site or surrounding land; are derelict or underused; are mainly in fully or partly developed urban areas; require intervention to bring them back to beneficial use; and may have real or perceived contamination problems. Its sustainable regeneration, through the adoption of strategies of sustainable environmental remediation, short-term usage and stakeholder projects, allows the reactivation of environmental, economic and social processes. With targeted and sustainable planning, brownfield land can be transformed inexpensively, thereby improving the quality of the entire local area.
